Historical Overview
A variant of the iconic American M4 carbine, the M4A1 is a fully automatic rifle chambered in 5.56mm NATO, widely used by U.S. special operations forces. The "-S" stands for the factory-fitted suppressor — reducing noise and muzzle flash at the cost of a smaller magazine. In CS2, it's the precision CT rifle: quieter than the M4A4, harder to track, and a favorite among players who prefer controlled, methodical play.
