Historical Overview

A German semi-automatic sniper rifle built by H&K, the G3SG/1 is a hand-selected, accurized variant of the G3 battle rifle — factory-tested for the tightest possible groupings before being modified and shipped as a dedicated marksman weapon. Chambered in 7.62×51mm NATO with a 20-round magazine, it was adopted by German special forces and law enforcement units. In CS2, it's the T-side auto-sniper: slower than the AWP to draw but capable of rapid follow-up shots, making it a devastating tool for holding long angles and punishing any team that dares to rush.
